Terms and Conditions of Trade

1. Definitions

  • “Contractor” means Mr Plumbing and Maintenance Pty Ltd, its employees, agents, or subcontractors.

  • “Client” means the person or company receiving goods or services from the Contractor.

  • “Quote” means any written or verbal estimation provided by the Contractor for works.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging the Contractor to carry out works, the Client acknowledges they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions

3. Quotations and Variations

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Any variations caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g. hidden pipes, blockages, or materials not visible during inspection) will be charged at standard rates.

  • The Contractor will seek the Client’s approval before proceeding with additional work.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Payment in full is required upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Credit card payments may incur a processing fee.

  • Overdue accounts may attract interest at 2% per month.

  • Materials remain the property of the Contractor until full payment is received.

5. Cancellations

Cancellation after acceptance of a quote or booking may incur a call-out or restocking fee for materials ordered.

6. Warranties and Liability

  • All workmanship is warranted for 12 months from the completion date, subject to proper use and maintenance by the Client.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products.

  • The Contractor is not liable for consequential loss, damages, or costs arising from delays, defective materials supplied by third parties, or pre-existing issues beyond our control.

7. Access and Site Conditions

  • The Client must ensure safe access to the property and work area.

  • Any delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or interference may incur additional charges.

8. Waste and Excavation

Removal of rubbish, soil, rock, or debris is not included unless specifically stated in the quote and will be charged as an additional service.

9. Intellectual Property and Privacy

  • All invoices, quotes, and documentation remain the property of the Contractor and must not be copied without written consent.

  • Any personal information collected is used solely for invoicing, work scheduling, or warranty purposes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes shall be handled within its jurisdiction.
